Lasse fondly remembers the Åland Islands between Sweden and Finland. He spent a lot of time there as a child and learned to love the special taste of Scandinavian licorice. To refresh his memory, Lars Braun, known as Lasse, decides to travel to Stockholm for the licorice festival. There, he samples his way around and finds his new way among all the dark delicacies.

Lasse leaves his previous professional career and founds his company, LASSE LAKRITS. He lets young and old sample his delicacies at various markets and quickly realizes that they are a hit.
